On February 16, 2011, Matthew Rossiter moderated the Sixth Annual Fiduciary Litigation Seminar, and also presented the Annual Update on the Law. Over 100 attorneys were in attendance.

On November 3, 2010, Jamie Boock successfully obtained a verdict after a jury trial against the City of St. Louis for failing to timely repair a dangerous condition on a City of St. Louis road which resulted in a one-car accident. Defendants made no offer to settle before trial.

Jamie received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1998 and attended Saint Louis University School of Law. He graduated cum laude in 2001 and was a staff member of the Saint Louis University Law Journal. Jamie also clerked for United States Magistrate Judge Terry Adelman during law school.

For the first six years of his practice, he worked with John Simon at the Simon Law Firm, P.C. and in April of 2007, formed Rossiter & Boock, LLC with Matthew J. Rossiter. Jamie’s practice areas include personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, medical malpractice and estate litigation.

In 2008, Jamie received the Roy F. Essen Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the St. Louis County Bar Association. In 2012, Jamie was the recipient of the Lon O. Hocker Trial Lawyer Award by the Missouri Bar Foundation. This award is presented annually to three young lawyers in the State of Missouri who have demonstrated outstanding trial work and unusual proficiency in the art of trial advocacy. Jamie has also been named a “Rising Star” by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine for 2010-2013 and a Super Lawyer for 2014 in the area of personal injury.

Jamie has participated as either lead counsel or assistant counsel in numerous trials involving products liability, medical malpractice and estate litigation in both state and federal court. He has also participated as lead attorney or co-counsel in numerous settlements in products liability, medical malpractice and trucking cases. These include a lawsuit which settled in June of 2002 for a fireman who suffered permanent brain damage after his breathing apparatus failed while fighting a fire. This case was reported in both local and national media. One week after the settlement of the case, the manufacturer recalled the defective product which was still in use by fire departments around the nation. Over the course of his practice, he has successfully handled claims against some of the nation’s largest corporations, including Ford Motor Company, Bridgestone/Firestone and Nissan North America.

Jamie has argued on multiple occasions before the Court of Appeals for the Eastern District of Missouri. He won the first case he argued before the Supreme Court of Missouri successfully overturning the decisions of the Trial Court and Court of Appeals dismissing his client’s claim. In the process, he changed the law in the State of Missouri regarding garnishments and his client was able to make a claim for over $275,000.00 which was taken from him.

Jamie is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, The American Trial Lawyers Association, the St. Louis Lawyer's Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the St. Louis County Bar Association. Finally, Jamie is a Fellow of the Missouri Bar Foundation.
